Drop Off and PICKUP...
Gear Placement & Retrieval
Suggestions
DROP OFF: 9AM at all Transition Areas
PICK UP: Please
pick up your equipment ASAP. Respect
our Volunteers Please circle back and pick
up your equipment as soon as you are finished with the
race. There will be plenty of refreshments waiting for
you later.
Solo (Chinook) – Have your support people
pick up your gear. If you are self-supported, we can
bring your gear to the finish line.
Tandem (CoHO) – Have your teammate get
your gear as you leapfrog through the course. Or get
back and pick up your stuff asap.
Teams (CHUM) – Have your teammates pick
up your gear behind you. This helps us immensely.
We will have people stationed at the transition areas
beginning at 9 AM on Saturday. Please pick up your equipment
ASAP after each leg. We'll be at each Transition Area
until 5 PM. Drop off your bikes at Lake Padden Park
(tennis courts), running shoes at Fairhaven Park,and
boats at Marine Park.
Transition
Areas
Lake Padden Park (Main Entrance for
parking)
Drop off Mountain Bikes and Road Bikes. The transition
area will be near the tennis courts. So park in the
main lot and bring your gear down the hill to the transition
areas.
Fairhaven Park
Trail Running Shoes- mainly for Chinook (soloists)
Marine Park
Boats will go in their areas designated by division.
Cornwall Beach
Boats will be stored in the Port of Bellingham parking
lot for retrieval after you finish the TREK. Please
return ASAP to pick up your equipment so that our volunteers
don’t have to wait around, they want to get to
the finish line too!
Chinook:
Drop off your gear a head of time & your car will
be waiting for you where you started.
CoHo:
Drop off your kayak @ CPIII, gear at CP II and bikes
with rider @ CP I (in that order). The runner will then
drive to the starting line. You’ll leap frog the
entire course.
CHUM:
There are many options for dropping off gear, depending
on how you’ve chosen to structure your team. Put
your mind to it!
